Registered
A pet whose ancestry is documented and recorded with an animal registering association.

Rheumatoid Arthritis
The inflammation and deformity of the joints that causes stiffness and deformity. Pets can develop arthritis if they're left out in the cold for long periods of time or when overweight.

Show
An exhibition of cats or dogs during which they are evaluated by licensed judges and awarded prizes for their conformance to breed standards.

Sire
Male cat or dog parent.

Spay
Or ovario-hysterectomy, surgically removes your pet's reproductive organs including the ovaries, uterus and fallopian tubes of the female animal.

Spray
Behavior of urinating everywhere to establish territory, commonly seen in unneutered male dogs and cats.

Stud
An unneutered male that is part of a breeding match.

Tenectomy/Tendonectomy
